Mr. Deloatch obtained his JD from Rutgers School of Law – Newark in 1999.
Mr. Deloatch started his legal career as in-house counsel at Morgan Stanley Dean Witter in 1999. While at Morgan Stanley he defended the firm and licensed employees in numerous matters including arbitrations and regulatory inquiries and investigations from state securities regulators and securities regulatory agencies including the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE), the National Association of Securities Dealers (NASD) and the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).
In 2002 Mr. Deloatch left Morgan Stanley to expand his legal career at a major law firm where he defended registered representatives and broker-dealers in arbitrations and investigations brought by various state and securities industry regulators, including the SEC, NYSE, and the NASD.
In 2005 The Law Office of Kevin J. Deloatch, Esq. was established.
Prior to becoming an attorney Mr. Deloatch had worked in the financial and securities industry.
In 1989 Mr. Deloatch worked at an investment research firm in New York City.
In 1991, Mr. Deloatch worked at Lehman Brothers as a securities broker where he obtained his series 7 and 63 securities licenses.
In 1993 Mr. Deloatch left Lehman Brothers to work for Citigroup as a securities broker.
Mr. Deloatch is currently admitted to practice in the State Courts of New York, the United States District Court of the Eastern District of New York and the United States District Court of the Southern District of New York. Additionally, Mr. Deloatch handles FINRA arbitrations throughout the United States.
